We’re all guilty of having said it, “If only I`d bought there 5 years ago when things were so cheap”. Well, there’s going to be some of you saying the same thing about this property because only one of you can get it. Located in the not so well-known Fuente de San Luis neighbourhood you are getting a turnkey newly renovated 2 bed suntrap in a two-story building with just one other neighbour. Down here you can forget you are living in the city; there’s a real small-town vibe so if you like things peaceful and quiet and folksy then keep reading.
So why so cheap? Well, to be honest while most of Valencia has been swept up in new builds, connections to the city centre, widening of footpaths, and some general modernising, this little nook at the southern edge has been kind of forgotten about. I asked a shopkeeper where I could find a bank ATM which led to a 5-minute discourse on how there used to be 5 banks, but they all left and the closest one was across the road in Quatre Carreres. So no, right now this isn’t “the place to be”, but what it is a charming low-rise neighbourhood with a great community feel to it. But that’s now, the future is likely to be very different. The Roig Arena stadium has just opened its doors here attracting international music acts, shows and of course the Valencia Basketball team plus you have the El Saler shopping centre a 10-minute walk away with the city of arts and sciences just another 5 minutes on from there. Russafa is about 20 minutes’ walk and there is a whole bunch of construction happening very close by which will bring more people, more commercial trade and more infrastructure to the area.
So, who’s it going to be who gets to say, “I saw it coming, I got in there early before all you other suckers”.
