Valencia Beach Area

We have to distinguish the beach area of Valencia from the city centre itself. For our purposes we are calling the beach area not only the Cabanyal and Malvarrosa but also Nazaret near the Port, El Grau near the Marina, Alboraya beach, the Patacona, and Port Saplaya, also belonging to Alboraya.

Valencia beach is a 4km long wide expanse of sand fronted by a palm fringed Promenade that you can walk from one end to the other, starting by the Marina in the Cabanyal and finishing at the end of the Patacona in Alboraya, without leaving the beach area. There are plenty of areas set aside for water sports, beach games such as football and volleyball and in the summer beach bars are set up so that clients can enjoy snacks and drinks without leaving the beach. Valencia beach never gets full as it is huge and the quality of the water is excellent for a city beach.
