Personally, I would open out the entire living room, kitchen and fourth bedroom, and also get rid of the strange double corridor set up. That would leave you with a huge area in which to put a modern kitchen with island, a dining area (possibly by the terrace for outdoor eating too) and still leave plenty of room for a TV and/or reading area. The plan below gives you some idea but its not the most accurate representation. The living area is much bigger than it shows in that. The bedroom area is fine as it is to be honest, I wouldn’t touch that, and the windows are double glazed throughout the property.

You also have a decent balcony looking onto a quiet street. South-east aspect, lots of morning sun. This is a nice neighbourhood, close to lots of green areas including the riverbed, a large hypermarket just 5 minutes’ walk, and 2 metro stations within ten minutes.

You’ll have to see it for yourself, but if you have the vision, it has the potential to be an amazing property. And perhaps like democracy, it won’t be around for ever, appreciate it while you have it and get in touch.
