Now listen, normally I’m no keener than you are to walk up five flights of stairs, especially in the height of summer. So I wouldn’t ask you to do it unless I thought it was worth it. In fact with a property like this, as I am going up the stairs for the first time, my mind usually is thinking along the lines of – ‘this better be worth it. I mean if there is one thing, just one thing that isn’t right up here you can forget it’. And here I am listing it, so that answers that.

This apartment is just a few minutes walk from Russafa, fifth floor and east-west orientation. The main bedroom gets the morning sun, and the open kitchen - living area gets the light in the evening. There three bedrooms, two of those are doubles, and the third bedroom is a single. Currently in use as a laundry room with lots of storage, but it could be cleared out for an office if that was required.

Air-conditioning in the main bedroom and also in the living area, of course can also be used for heating, but because it does get a lot of sun in the winter, that isn’t so important. There’s also a nice balcony off the living area. Enough for a table and a couple of chairs. Absolutely nothing needs to be done to this property, it has already been fully renovated. Ready to move into or indeed rent out, if you don’t fancy the stairs yourself, which I can understand, they aren’t for everybody.

However, at this price it’s a great option as an investment property, or indeed with the threat of the government introducing a law to make it prohibitively expensive for non-residents to buy, this could be your foot in the door right now and change up to the forever home down the line once you have that precious residency.
