As we are finally arriving at the end of the long hot summer we thought it was time to take a look at what has been getting you talking, reacting and contacting us from our content. So we looked into the stats and the reactions on the podcasts, the blogs, the properties and the substack posts and decided to give you a selection of late summer reading and listening to keep you occupied until you actually get round to visiting us and buying your own Valencia Property.
Here are the most viewed, downloaded or clicked articles. These are the five in each category that got people emailing, messaging and commenting and in the cases of properties, visiting, even as we were on our own summer go-slow. These are the things people couldn't stop talking about even when, funnily enough in one case, almost nobody was listening. Squatting has some of our lowest recent podcast listen numbers as an example (Maybe it's an August thing) but has easily the most reaction we've had all year (Maybe people don't like listening to horror stories). Everyone seemed to want to see the pictures of the miscreants and to know which alarm company we used.
The differences between the raw numbers and "popular" content is the whole reason for this list. Obviously it's biased towards recency because older posts don't have as many views as newer ones each week but there's a lot of good stuff here. So take a look and click through to some gold.

We have recently discovered that we get more listens on Apple Podcasts than on our own Podbean homepage. It was a nice thing to find out! We have a wider audience than we thought! Here are the ones we have got the most messages about recently.

Our least-listened recent episode and easily our most talked about. A very succinct 11 minutes on a squatting situation, what happened, how it got resolved, and what to watch for. If you missed it, this is the one everyone else is asking us about.

The half yearly numbers, and the odd combination of slightly falling sale volumes alongside also slightly rising prices. We walk through why that isn't a contradiction despite what it may seem and also take a few swipes at Elon Musk along the way because that's what we all need to do in life isn't it?

A penthouse opposite Dénia's Plaza de la Constitución with 123 square metres of private rooftop terrace, a mountain on one side and the old town walls on the other. Five bedrooms, each with its own air-con which is needed in attics of course.

Head for the Hills — Naquera
A fully renovated two storey house in the Sierra Calderona with pellet stoves on both floors, recently reduced in price. Naquera keeps coming up as one of the towns nobody expects to hear about until they see it. Please buy there. We haven't sold anything there recently and you are missing out.

Almost 200m² on Calle Santa Teresa with original tiled floors and window frames kept through a careful renovation, six balconies, three metre ceilings, two minutes from the central market.

Conclusions
We write and record in different formats but there's one thing that remains clear, the things that get the most reaction aren't always the things that get the most views. A quiet podcast episode, a set of Substack posts written for a different kind of subscriber perhaps, even though I know many of you follow us there too, and five properties people couldn't stop asking about.
