It's that time of year again when everything is "best of" lists, looking back on the year and more. We will look back on the Valencia Property market in 2024 in the next blog on Monday next week in the last post of 2024 but today we are giving away our new book in PDF format. "The Valencia Property Collection 2024" is a look back at our most inspired property descriptions of the year (and a few earlier ones) and we have put it out there because we know you love our property descriptions and blog but we have never collated a book of either of them.
This year we have put together a special page of the best blogs of 2024 which you can see here or by clicking on the image below, and a special PDF book of our favourite descriptions because here's the thing, we put a lot of work into the descriptions at times, sometimes we take up to twenty minutes ;-), and once the house is sold and we take it off the site. It is then that we realise that the pure artistry of the description, the random cultural references, the jokes about Trump, Brexit, Religion and more are lost forever. The internet can be an ephemeral thing at times. We don't want to lose everything in future so the idea is to present to you a collection of what we do every now and again and you can luxuriate in the adolescent and more mature humour, the heavy sarcasm, the cultural appropriation and a whole lot more and maybe you can even send it onto friends who appreciate a bit of Spain and a lot of property.
Equally, every year around this time we have a competition to win a book or two and sometimes more. This year is no different and the Valencia Property quiz below has the prize of "The Best Hikes of Valencian Community" by Dmitry Blatov who runs the excellent Valencia Mountain Enthusiasts group, also over on Facebook, where you can book your next guided hike.

In order to win a copy of "The Best Hikes in the Valencian Community" you will need to do some work of course. Our quiz refers to the Valencia Property Collection above so you'll have to read it. We have two copies of Dmitry's book available, one for our clients who are members of the Valencia Property Community Group on Facebook (People who have bought with us. If you have and are not a member of the group remember to apply) and another copy for those of you who read the blog and descriptions but have not yet bought (But will do hopefully in the future) We would love the winners to be presented with their prize here in Valencia so we can get the presentation picture but if you are on the other side of the World then I am sure we can find a way of getting it to you.

Property of the Week
Next week we'll have the last post of the year as mentioned above but this is the last property of the week.
The best presents don't always come wrapped in the best wrapping paper and the best property deals don't always look too promising from the outside but when we get inside, well that may be another thing all together.
This is a bit of an ugly duckling from the outside but nothing a paint job couldn't remedy and here you have a huge space with an enormous roof terrace with excellent city views. Two floors which you could convert into two separate apartments or join to make a huge 354m2. Downstairs you have 150m2 plus of garage, office, workshop and more and upstairs another 150m2 plus of apartment currently, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, large kitchen, larder, washroom, living room and dining room all around a central outside terrace area.
Going up from there we have around 100m2 of roof terrace, perfect for your chill out area, sunbathing, hanging the washing out or even setting up your little jacuzzi and spa area.
The whole package is pretty impressive and at just a little over 1000 Euros per m2 you could be forgiven for asking, where's the catch? Well, the apartment is dated, real 1980s stuff. Totally liveable but lots of dark wood, 80s furniture and bathroom tiles. You'll want to do an excellent modernisation while doing something with that 150m2 space downstairs. And what could that be? Music studio? Woodworking room? Home cinema, gym or even golf range... the possibilities are endless and only limited by your imagination and the 150m2 available.
On the edge of the city in Benicalap near to Metro, Bus routes, and with all local facilities within 500m you couldn't ask for much more in a project or you could just move in you know. Not everything requires modernisation.
