Never has a single act, in this case literally an act, made clear that our decision to take time off at Fallas each year is correct. This week ex-Smiths frontman, noted racist, serial flouncer, Ukipper and primadonna, Morrissey, gave everyone who resents him for what he has become (as opposed to what he once represented) a long period of generalised laughter as he used the Fallas fiestas as the excuse to cancel the latest in a long list of his cancelled performances, this time in Valencia.

Those who had paid the princely sum of 103 Euros (The cheapest tickets!!) to be let down by His Miserableness must now hope his promotors have the common decency to return their cash (Don't hold your breath)
The quotes are stunning.
Morrissey apparently has "been left in a catatonic state" by the noise levels and he will take "a year or longer to recover, and that is an understatement". His hotel in Valencia was described as an "Indescribable hell" which is apt as that's what most people would describe the last twenty years of his career and also his current ideology.
But here's the important thing that you need to remember. Fallas hadn't even really started when he did this. The official dates for Fallas and the holidays are from today, the 15th to Thursday the 19th of March, which is why we are publishing this today. Yes, things happen before and to a lesser extent after, but to quote Liverpool fans at Galatasaray some years back "If he thinks this is hell he should go down to the Grafton on a Saturday night" Replace the Grafton (A pub in Liverpool) with the actual Fallas fiestas on the dates it's actually happening and it's unlikely that little poppet Morrisey would survive such an attack on the senses.
So here it is, this week (16th-20th of March) we are closed and luckily for us (and everyone in Valencia who gets away for Fallas) this year Fallas falls brilliantly meaning there are holidays for many from the Saturday prior to Fallas, the 14th, until the Monday after Fallas the 23rd.
I know I know, your heart bleeds for us!
Bear in mind though we have to wait almost a whole two weeks after that for the Easter holidays... maybe Morrissey could come then or maybe he has booked a concert in Seville that week. I'm sure that would work out well.
So yes... we are closed this week. If we take a little time to answer your mails and messages that's why. We are closed, Valencia is mostly closed and Morrissey... his career should definitely come to a close.
