There is little available, the owners won't accept foreigners, prices are off the scale or you have to pay ridiculous fees to the platform (Looking at you Airbnb) Luckily a couple of years ago we solved the problem for many people through our sister company Stepping Stone Rentals. Today we are going to look at some of our available properties on the Stepping Stones website as we move more deeply into 2025. Let's Look at Each of These in Turn

The pricing of Stepping Stone Rentals for your medium term rental in Valencia is clear. This is the daily rate multiplied by the number of days you will be there, typically 90 days as stays are usually three months. Payment is made directly to SSR in advance and paid to the owner after your arrival in the property and settling in.

By using the services of a well known and reliable partner you avoid the risk of being scammed online by ghost listings with fake or AI images and scammers who list and disappear (After taking your money). All of our properties have been vetted and photographed by us giving you a full floor plan, location, photos and virtual tour using the Giraffe 360º platform. Most of our properties are supplied by clients of Valencia Property so we know the owners too and all of them are individual private owners as opposed to chains and faceless corporations. This means the properties tend to have more character too.

At Stepping Stone Rentals we make the process of reserving a property and payment for it clear and unambiguous. The price you are quoted is the final price, no extras. Payments are made prior to arrival and deposits are returned promptly. This protects both tenant and owner and stops any worries about how the process is carried out. Equally, different properties are priced differently making a decent selection for each price point. And all costs are included, gas, electric, water and fast internet are all included just like in short term rentals. (There is one caveat here, excessive electricity use is charged to the tenant. Details are in the contracts)

We have a good selection of properties available for medium term rental in Valencia at any time but bear in mind that not all of the properties on the site are available all of the time. The owners use their properties too. These are not your typical Airbnbs with constant turnover of tenants so the wear and tear of our properties is a lot less. Tenants often comment on how well kept and presented the places are compared with places they have stayed previously on short term holiday rentals.

As a client of Stepping Stone Rentals we welcome you to the property and explain everything you need to know. There are no key boxes and impersonal arrivals. Equally there is full support on the ground for any questions you have or issues that may come up during your stay. As a tenant your only fee to be paid to SSR is a contract fee for putting together the contract for your stay to make sure you have a guarantee of being able to stay your full period. (This is also useful for some visa applications as you may need to show where you will be staying on arival in Spain)

This lack of extra fees makes Stepping Stone Rentals an affordable option for those looking to stay that little bit longer in Valencia and to have that extended stay arranged before coming over. Over the years portals such as Airbnb and others have sneaked in higher and higher fees both to tenants and owners making this type of rental extraordinarily expensive when extended to three months.

As a client of Stepping Stone Rentals you have no commitment beyond the periods of the contract, usually three months, but if you wish to extend the contract it is possible at times depending on the availability of the property and the owners' use of it. If the property is not available for a longer term then you can also change to a different Stepping Stone Rental Property at the end of the contract without any extra fees. You'll need to let us know if you want to stay longer at least a month before the end of your initial contract so we can find out availability with the owners. Sometimes owners are flexible in this regard with their own visits.

While you are a client of Stepping Stone Rentals any problems you have in the apartment should be notified immediately and will be dealt with immediately too. We have handymen, plumbers, electricians and more on hand to sort out any issues as they come up.

Renting medium term in Valencia through Stepping Stone Rentals supports a local startup company employing people in Valencia itself and paying into the local economy rather than a tax avoiding multinational with an offshore structure leeching out from the local community. We think that's important these days.

What We Don't Offer

We are not a holiday rental company. Our properties are not available for your stay of a few days, a week or even a month. They are for three month rentals although sometimes we have owners who accept two months if it fits into their timetable for usage and others who will accept longer medium term rentals up to six months. La Pobla de Vallbona Penthouse

Our most popular rental on the Stepping Stone Rentals website and the first property we took on, this property has been enjoyed on four separate occasions now and is continually upgraded. The owner stayed here over the New Year period and got a new fridge and microwave and moved the furniture around a bit. An excellent landing point in my hometown of La Pobla de Vallbona, well situated and communicated and with a lovely large terrace. Second floor without a lift but perfect for anyone's initial three month stay in the Valencia area at a great price of just 50 Euros per day.

Maritimo Family Home

Our first long-term rental is here! Book for a minimum stay of 10 - 12 months with the option to renew. Our daily rate for medium term rentals here is just 50 Euros.

This is the perfect home for a small family. 1 large double bedroom and a small kids room. Plenty of natural light fills the apartment and being a 5th floor, the balcony opens up to the skyline where you can enjoy fresh air and a morning coffee.

This apartment has a super location as it is close to everything, and I mean everything! that someone needs: great grocery store, metro line direct to center or airport, public transport to the university district, beaches, pharmacy, restaurants, pet shops, municipal gyms, the way cool WAYCO co-working center, the Port, private sport gyms, the neighborhood health clinic, and ice-cream shops - You have to try "Artesana Ice-Cream" (very important!)

Long term rental price is 1350 euros.

The Tree of Life

Come and enjoy this historic home in the center of Valencia: El Carmen. Located in a lovely plaza famous for it's old Olive tree that grows right in the middle.

This is a quaint apartment with balconies off the living room and the master bedroom. It gets a lot of of natural light from all sides and the kitchen is newly modernized and equipped with new appliances and furniture. 1 double bedroom with a smaller room that's already been fitted with an office desk.

Stepping Stone Rentals would be willing to place a dramatic bet on this being one of the best spots of Valencia, naturally, because of course we'd come out winning - 90% of our clients ask for this location! You have the Turia Gardens a few meters away, the great Cathedral another few meters, and coffee places, restaurants, and nightlife around the corner. Well priced at just 55 Euros per day and perfect for a single person or couple starting off their Valencia Property journey.

In Between the Parks

You're making the change! You're coming to Valencia! Your suitcases are packed, Your plane is boarding - but yikes! Everyone and their dog keeps saying how difficult it is to rent in Valencia, that it's impossible to find anything decent! -

Wait, here it is! Your 2-bedroom Stepping Stone into the city of Valencia.

This apartment is located in the En Corts district right below Russafa. Seriously the next up-and-coming neighbourhood for Digital Nomads and just about everyone else who wish to be close to the center but still desire a bit of evening peace and quiet.

To one end of the neighbourhood you have the classic lush Park Central and on the other end the KM long sports-filled Turia Gardens! Reserve it while it lasts. Run Valencia's 1/2 and Full Marathon and be at the doorstep of the starting line! Just 60 Euros per day for all of this.

As expected the year has started off strongly especially after the realisation from our American cousins that yes... it is actually happening. Project 2025 is in full swing with women and minorities having rights taken away, the Orange Shitgibbon threatening to invade Greenland (That wasn't on my bingo card for this year) and the first tariffs on Colombia, meaning your Starbucks just got 30% more expensive (Yes I know the tariffs are 25% but where would we be without a little traditional corporate America price gouging)When everything you thought was enshrined in your constitution is being ridden roughshod over then maybe it's time to get out and get out now. Come and join us in Valencia while you still can (Before they take away your passports and any other rights you thought you had)
