The Real Estate Agency Description of Osama's Hideout. If i were trying to sell the house where Osama Bin Laden was hiding here would be my description:
Firstly I have to say that the owners are asking a hugely optimistic $1 million dollars for this place. But let's get the positives out of the way.
- The previous tenant was highly security conscious as he thought of himself as very important in the grand scheme of things.
- If you like your interior house wall three foot thick (It keeps the heat out in the summer), two very high sets of exterior walls in order to minimise the risk of opportunistic thieves, to keep the kids in a safe environment or to stop any pesky Navy Seals coming in and a bit of a lack of light inside due to the paucity of windows then you could be very happy here.
- It is not really overlooked by other properties.
The tenants, who have just been forceably evicted, left the place in a bit of a mess and surprisingly for a house of this supposed value you will have to call Pakistan Telecom as it is not connected up to the internet. Therefore if you are interested I would certainly make it a condition of sale to install an adsl line before completion. Taking down some of the ugly barbed wire and planting some evergreen trees might also make it a bit more habitable.
You will need to do some cleaning before moving in, I cannot say it is really key ready. It seems there are some red wine stains in one of the bedrooms suggesting the last tenant had a big blow out before leaving and robbers may have got in afterwards as the place has been ransacked it would seem, either that or a bomb has hit it in some way.
What you have here though is the basis for a decent house if you put in a lot of patio doors, some larger windows on the upper floors and open out the downstairs into the garden by demolishing one of the interior perimeter walls. Currently it resembles a bit of a bunker but it does have so much space we could refer to it as "Having potential"
If you want to visit or put an offer in just get in touch. We need to take a few basic security steps before visiting, like donning some body armour and making an appointment with the owner who has been rather elusive in the last few years for some reason. However I think there is a deal on the table for anyone who wants a bit of a challenge. Apparently it is becoming a bit of a local tourist attraction too so the opportunity to run a home based business, always assuming that Pakistan Telecom get their act together, must be quite strong.
No pictures as really it is a bit of a mess. However once you look past the dirt you may be able to use your imagination (If you have a good one) to see how it could be.
