Not long now until the totally irrational part of Valencia rears its head (No, not appointing Gary Neville as Valencia manager)
Fallas is in the air, the annual festival of finding anything you can and either making it explode or simply just burning it to the ground. March is the big month but already there are Princess Leia lookalikes in impractical, hugely expensive elaborate dresses roaming the streets feeling important followed by their court. Wherever you go you are likely to have your thoughts blasted out of your head as an insanely close firecracker explodes too close for comfort and you run for cover or simply have your siesta ruined by an impromptu firework display during mid afternoon.
Will you be joining us this year?
Fallas gets bigger and bigger each and every year and the spectacle, the chaos and the wonderful fireworks displays, mascletas, processions, lights and street vendors make it the biggest fastball in Spain (and Spain has a lot of festivals) forget bull running, baby jumping, carnival and more, Fallas is the real deal.
The main event is from the 15th to the 19th of March with daily Mascletas and events leading up to it from the 1st of March. Valencia is warming up nicely with daily temperatures around 20-22 degrees and by mid March it is definitely T-Shirt weather during the day.
To take full advantage of Fallas every year take a look at our properties and get yourself one, even if you cannot come down for the main event your friends, family and network will love the fact you have an apartment in Valencia they can use.
