I have been reinstalling the Mac over the last few days after it went into intensive care and came out with a brand spanking new reformat. This has given me time to take a look at some photos as they got reinstalled. So according to iPhoto this year I have 5549 photos imported , quite a few. So there are just a few a month to tell the story of the year. I have put them on Facebook in this album.
It goes through the year and you might notice one major thing, it was sunny almost all year. This has been the year with the least rain in Valencia I can remember. Here is the story.
The winter was warm and around 21-22 degrees every day. My first visit out of Valencia was to Alicante to the airport of course.
February kept the high temperatures in the city and we got some great blue skies especially when we go some attic flats onto the site. This one sold in two weeks

March came around and as every year so did Fallas which marked the start of spring. Some excellent weather and fantastic sculptures. We also started our cricket season which was to end as league winners.

April was stunning again and the fiestas continued the one shown here with a medieval market in Lliria.

May came and the pool came into use for the first time for the kids (I am not going to lie, there was no way I was getting into that water. Much too cold)
June was heating up nicely but the real heat of the summer was still to come. However this is the time of year where outdoor paella making competitions abound in Valencia and health and safety is just something people mention in passing.

July meant holiday time for us and we went away to Spain, or rather Catalonia this year. A lifetime bucket list goal was ticked off by going to Cadaques where this photo was taken. Then we went to see my eldest graduate from University in the UK and you can see a proud dad below.
August was hot and steamy this year and the blue in the sky contrasted vividly with the colours of the houses. At the end of the month we did our annual trip to Asturias where I did another bucket list thing by walking the whole length of the Cares Gorge and back.

Returning to Valencia and the kids were back in school but there was still time at the weekend to go to the beach and enjoy a dip, the Mediterranean was still warm.
However the big news of the month of course was Levante Cricket Club winning the league ;-)

October continued to be hot but Autumn has arrived finally and the trees were showing it. Still temperatures were in the thirties. Lliria's San Vicente Park still looked fantastic.
Believe it or not temperatures continued to be into the thirties well into November and when I went down to Malaga for the WABAS conference at OnSpain we enjoyed a brilliant outdoor event.

And in December I was back down to Alicante airport to take my dad back and stopped off in Moraira on the way back. Still lovely weather, still great temperatures.
