Today, Sunday, it was sunny so we decided to get ourselves down to the beach rather than just sit around and play Plants and Zombies on the iPad. :-)
Now this is one of the advantages of living in Spain and Southern Europe. If you have a nice sunny day even in the middle of winter you can be sitting at a bar terrace having a coffee in your T Shirt, as opposed to on your T Shirt.
Have you been sitting around in your country recently outside having coffee or a beer? Thought not.
How long have people been inside in the UK freezing their butts off while complaining about the shocking weather this winter? How many people wanted to get away for the holidays and couldn't because of the awful blizzards and lack of organization in the transport infrastrucutre?
How about upgrading your living experience?
I wrote last year about upgrading to Spain, you can see it here. I was called out on it by many people saying that Spain was in deep doo doo and no way would they ever ever think of coming here. That may be true for them but... so what!
If that is what you choose to focus on then that is up to you.
Meanwhile I just carry on. I have about 8-10 clients lined up to visit in the next month none of whom need a mortgage and are all ready to buy because Spanish prices are better than they have been since 2004 now and you can pick up bargain price properties at even better prices than that.
Is there a common denominator about them?
I don't think so but one thing I have noticed in the majority of cases is that they want a better lifestyle, a lifestyle where they can wake up and not have to worry about digging the car out of the snow but yet they don't live too far away from skiing places. They want to be able to take the kids out to the park or beach and not worry about stranger danger or absolutely freezing. They want to be able to wake up to a bright day and not get seasonal affective disorder from not having seen daylight for three months.
Does this sound like you?
If so get in touch. Like this post on Facebook and get over to our Facebook page at Valencia Property to follow what we are doing and what we are offering on a day to day basis.
Just to let you know I am not blind to the problems and if you follow me on Facebook you will see me metaphorically banging my head against a brick wall every time I have to deal with a Spanish bank. You will read about the struggles and also about what is happening both in the Spanish property market and in Spain in general. You get the truth to make your decision from a basis of knowledge rather than ignorance. However you can choose to just lie down and believe the news from the World that everything is grey and doom laden and life's hard and then you die or you can choose to do something about it.
By doing something about it you may well find that your life changes for the better.
