I don't agree. It is just a mindset issue.
The plans for the company for next year involve selling a lot of great value houses to our clients and helping people settle in to them in the best possible way despite the crisis.
The new Valencia Property website is getting filled with properties now and there remain about 50 to upload off the previous site. Some of them will not make the cut as we are being ruthless with our selection. Things that won't sell are not being promoted of course. We also have access to thousands of other properties through the network of banks and developers trying to offload their excess stock and repossessions. However as I explained in the end of year report, which you can find exclusively on our Facebook page most of the stuff the banks and developers want to sell you is rubbish. Download the report and find out why.
Also next year we will be offering more rental properties and keeping this section of the site a lot more alive. Keep an eye out here for the latest availability. We currently have a lot of great value properties available although most of the properties we work with are rented currently.
As for financial services such as mortgages we continue to recommend the services of Mortgage Direct in Valencia. If they cannot arrange your mortgage just assume it cannot be arranged for that particular property!
Further than that I cannot say much for the year ahead. It looks like it might be a rocky one for the whole of Europe, and that includes the UK, so one of the best things you can do of course is get yourself some extra income streams just in case. To do this you really should get a copy of our book, "The Secrets to Living and Working in Spain". It is totally valid too for anyone working anywhere as seven sections of it concentrate on just the internet. You can read more about it on our Work in Spain blog too.
