Why I Love Where I Live

Why I Love Where I Live In Spain

A couple of days ago you might have seen the video posted in this post. I thought I would take a moment to explain why I love living where I do, the house not the area, that is for another post. The type of house is important though.

Currently I am promoting a property opposite mine, yes you would get to be a close neighbour of mine if you bought it. The property basics are a three floor house for 240k Euros with four bedrooms, two living rooms and kitchens, three bathrooms and it was built almost 20 years ago. From the front it doesn't look much but the garden and pool are a revelation.

The oasis known as our garden is huge and houses lots of different types of trees attracting birds, bats and shade hunters like me while spending time around the swimming pool. So why is it so good and why do I like it so much?;
  • It is always ready because a gardener looks after it meaning I don't have to.
  • The pool is always clean because it is not me looking after it.
  • Trees are trimmed and pretty looking because it is not me, "The Plant Killer" looking after them.
  • It is set in the town meaning public transport, shops and sports facilities along with parks and much more are walking distance and if you are that way inclined bars are staggering distance back.
  • I am into Valencia by car in fifteen minutes and bus in 25 and if I want to walk to the metro station I can.
Now one of the things you come to Spain for is a change in the quality of your life. I wrote about this in my post about Upgrading to Spain here. All of the above factors tie in with improving my quality of life.

  • I don't do the garden but I have one.
  • I don't need to look after a pool just enjoy it.
  • I don't need to use the car unless I really want to.
  • I have a community of people around me to chat with if I want, and sometimes even when I don't want.
  • My kids have others to play with.
Does that sound like quality of life? Think about it when you are looking for your property in Spain. These factors will make or break your move, along with certain others, so take them into consideration when thinking about what type of property you are going to buy. 1) Upgrading to Spain 2) Shared Facilities 3) Why We Don't Do Inspection Flights
